INFORMATION

Kokedama is simply translated as “moss ball” (koke= moss, dama = ball). It is a variant of bonsai that has been crafted for centuries. It started when the less affluent population in Japan started looking for a simpler, more accessible way to enjoy the beauty of bonsai in their everyday lives.

Traditionally, Kokedama are displayed on driftwood or handmade pottery. This is an elegant and simple way to boast your new creation or even build off one that you create over time. People have found joy in crafting ‘mini floating universes’ of their own with collections of Kokedama. You could even place several hanging Kokedama at varying heights, to create a more dramatic effect.

For virtual workshops you will be send all the materials in advance. For in-person workshops, the expert team come fully equipped with home grown, locally sourced and high-quality materials you need would to make your own Kokedama, so that you and your family/team/clients/group of friends can make a gorgeous DIY Kokedama.
